Demi Lovato is simply amazing. Despite having one of the worst stretches of her life over the last few months, and undoubtedly losing money because of it, she has decided to donate $50 million to help with disaster relief in Japan following the earthquake and tsunami.
$50 million dollars is obviously a lot of money and will go along way in helping the people of Japan recover from this horrific disaster.
While Lovato isn't alone in donating money to help the people of Japan, among the known amounts of money donated by celebrities according to Disney Infonet, Lovato has only been topped by Taylor Swift.
This act of selflessness is amazing. Demi Lovato could have been like many other selfish celebrities and just ignored the problem especially considering her career, and therefore financial situation, is somewhat up in the air considering her show, Sonny with Chance, is moving on without her. Demi very easily could have just decided to donate proceeds of her album sales to the relief fund instead of actually donating cash. She should be commended for such an action.
On the other hand, Lady GaGa, who undoubtedly has much more money than Demi Lovato, has decided to create a bracelet and donate the sales to the relief effort. Really GaGa? That's the best you can do? How sad.
I'm sure the people of Japan are grateful for all the help they are receiving from around the world and Demi Lovato is one of those selfless people.
